Job Description
The Tower Crane Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and precise operation of tower cranes to lift, move, and position materials on construction sites. The role requires strong coordination with riggers and signalmen to ensure compliance with safety regulations and project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Operate tower cranes safely to lift and move materials such as steel, concrete, formwork, and equipment
Follow hand signals and radio instructions from designated riggers/signalmen
Conduct daily pre‑operational inspections of the crane and report defects immediately
Monitor load weights to ensure lifts remain within crane capacity charts
Maintain accurate load positioning to avoid damage to structures, equipment, or workers
Adhere strictly to site safety procedures, UAE labor laws, and lifting regulations
Stop operations during unsafe weather conditions (high winds, storms, poor visibility)
Keep crane cabin clean and operational at all times
Support erection, climbing, and dismantling activities when required
