Job Description
OPERATIONS MANAGER
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assisting the General Manager in Business Development, Sales.
- Implementing QHHSE, SQAS & ISO Standards, ADR Regulations, Road Transport Authority Regulations.
- Training the staff for handling Chemical and Liquefied Petroleum Products, Implementing Petroleum & Chemicals Transport Safety regulations, Industry Practices & Technical Aspects.
- P&L Management, Financial Analysis.
- Recruitment, Selection, Training, Mentoring of Staff.
- ERP Process Mapping, IT Infrastructure Enhancement Planning.
- Developing the departments and implementing proper reporting system within the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:
Operations & Planning
- To oversee the operations for bulk transport, general transport division and manage a team to ensure business objectives are achieved.
- To ensure compliance with the company’s policies and procedures and to initiate disciplinary measures in case of breach.
Business Development & Customer Service
- Identify new business opportunities, contact potential customers, explain company services, and convince customers to place orders / sign long term contracts with the company.
Transport and Logistics
- Ensure that the fleet of vehicles operated by the company is well maintained and operational; provide support in developing maintenance procedures and plans and monitor sites and conduct spot checks.
- Enforce health and safety regulations and practices are stringently followed across all processes; maintain strict compliance with RTA regulations and SQSA standards.
