Required Skills & Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of HSE experience in construction projects (sports pitch experience is a plus).
• Knowledge of local HSE regulations and international standards (Quality ISO 9001, Environment ISO 14001, Health & Safety ISO 45001).
• Strong communication and training skills.
• First Aid Experience – Ability to train existing and new staff in First Aid procedures or at least strive for this.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Willingness to travel and work across UAE project sites.

This fast-growing company is seeking a HSE Officer to support safe work practices in the UAE working alongside experienced engineers and project managers, the successful candidate will assist in the planning, supervision, and quality control of sports pitch construction projects across the region.

As a HSE Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the safe and operational delivery of SIS Pitches Middle East’s projects, ensuring high standards of safety, environmental stewardship is achieved on site.

Purpose of the Role

To ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across all SIS Pitches Middle East projects. The HSE Officer plays a critical role in promoting a safe working environment, implementing company HSE policies, and monitoring site activities to minimize risks and ensure legal compliance is achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce SIS Pitches’ HSE policies and procedures on all project sites.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Prepare and maintain HSE documentation, including risk assessments, incident reports, and safety records.
• Deliver HSE inductions and toolbox talks for site personnel and subcontractors.
• Training of SIS Employees in First Aid procedures.
• Monitor and report on health, safety, and environmental performance.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; recommend corrective actions.
• Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities on HSE matters.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safe work practices.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for workplace safety and environmental protection.
