Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison with Abu Dhabi government authorities, including Abu Dhabi Municipality, Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), Abu Dhabi Distribution Company (ADDC), Civil Defense, Estidama, and other regulatory bodies
- Monitor and track regulatory updates, procedural changes, and evolving requirements; communicate relevant changes to design and project teams in a timely manner
- Represent the company professionally in all authority interactions and meetings
Submission Management
- Prepare, compile, and submit comprehensive application packages including drawings, technical documents, calculations, reports, and required forms through both online portals and physical channels
- Verify accuracy and completeness of all documentation prior to submission to ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, Estidama standards, and government requirements
- Manage multiple concurrent submissions efficiently while adhering to project timelines and regulatory deadlines
Approvals & Documentation
- Track, monitor, and expedite No Objection Certificates (NOCs), permits, and approvals throughout design development and construction phases
- Maintain detailed submission logs and comprehensive records of all approvals, correspondence, and authority communications
- Provide regular status updates and reports to management regarding submission progress, pending approvals, and potential delays
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with internal multidisciplinary teams (Architecture, Structural, and MEP engineering) to prepare and update authority submission drawings
- Support Project Managers in addressing authority comments, preparing responses, and managing resubmissions
- Assist in the preparation and submission of Estidama Pearl certification documentation (PRS/PCP/PCR)
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred)Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of demonstrated authority coordination experience in Abu Dhabi
- Proven track record managing regulatory submissions for construction and development projects
Technical Knowledge
- Comprehensive understanding of Abu Dhabi Municipality, DMT, ADDC, and Civil Defense procedures and requirements
- Strong familiarity with Estidama sustainability framework and submission processes
- Proficiency in navigating authority online portals (ADM, Civil Defense, ADDC, and others)
- Working knowledge of UAE building codes, zoning regulations, and government standards
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is highly advantageous
- Exceptional organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build and maintain professional relationships with government officials
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
