Job Description

Job Purpose
Ensure a safe, efficient, cost-effective, and timely airport operation in Sharjah / Abu Dhabi stations, maintaining and enhancing Ethiopian Airlines’ brand image, customer service standards, and operational performance. The role involves managing all aspects of airport activities, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and supervising station staff to guarantee smooth service delivery.

Job Outline
• Proactively manage potential operational challenges such as overbookings, delays, weather disruptions, and crew limitations, ensuring customer satisfaction and minimizing service disruptions.
• Liaise with ground handling agents, caterers, and airport authorities to ensure Ethiopian Airlines’ daily operational requirements are clearly communicated and executed.
• Monitor baggage services, including processing of lost/damaged baggage claims, to ensure timely resolutions and cost control.
• Oversee daily operations including check-in, boarding, ramp activities, lounge services, and ticket desk management.
• Maintain accuracy in operational documentation including flight reports, revenue documents, and cargo data.
• Ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to service quality are monitored and achieved consistently.
• Contribute to emergency preparedness planning (ERP) and respond effectively during irregular operations or crises.
• Enforce compliance with Ethiopian Airlines’ Safety, Security, and Operational Manuals and ensure updates are communicated to all relevant teams and service providers.
• Foster a safety-first culture by encouraging open reporting and adherence to local aviation regulations.

Knowledge & Skills
• Strong knowledge of airline systems including Reservations, Fares & Ticketing, and Departure Control Systems (DCS).
• Familiarity with Dangerous Goods Regulations, Weight & Balance principles.
• Experience in baggage tracing, mishandling resolution, and claims processing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent communication skills in English (both spoken and written); knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
