Job Description
Fabricator’s Job Description:
• Read, understand and execute fabrication or erection drawings
• Mark, drill, gas cut and tack weld structural steel and miscellaneous steel items
• Mark and erect structural steel and miscellaneous steel items on site
• Follow instructions from Supervisors. However, when necessary, work independently to finish the assigned work in a timely manner.
Erectors Job Description:
• Independently read and understand erection or general assembly drawings
• Knowledge on how to erect structural and miscellaneous steel on sites.
• Ability to understand and follow a lifting plan (for example how to use a chain block, spreader beam, etc.)
• Must understand how to align erected members and mark and drill holes as per the GA drawings.
Welders’s Job Description:
• Welding of structural members using a MIG Welding Machine.
• Certified 3G and above required.
Painter’s Job Description:
• Paint structural steel members using an airless spray paint machine
• Apply the 3 coat paint system to steel members as per the required microns and without defects such as crocodile tears, over-spraying and paint build up.
• Apply putty work to joints and finish with sanding paper.
