Job Title: MEP Engineer
Experience Required: Minimum 5 years (Contracting Company Experience Preferred)
Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented MEP Engineer to join our team. The MEP Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in construction projects. The successful candidate will work closely with architects, contractors, and project teams to ensure systems are integrated seamlessly and meet project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
-Design, plan, and oversee the implementation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for various construction projects.
-Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and contractors to develop MEP designs that align with project goals.
-Review project specifications, drawings, and technical documentation to ensure system designs meet regulatory and safety standards.
-Conduct site inspections to monitor the installation and progress of MEP systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications.
-Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to MEP systems during the construction and post-construction phases.
-Ensure that all MEP systems are integrated efficiently with the overall building design and infrastructure.
-Prepare detailed reports on system performance, project milestones, and any issues or delays.
-Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure the timely delivery of materials and equipment.
-Supervise and guide contractors and technicians during the installation and testing of MEP systems.
-Maintain awareness of the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations in MEP engineering.
Qualifications and Skills:
-Bachelor’s degree in MEP Engineering, or related field.
-Strong knowledge of MEP systems design and implementation.
-Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other MEP design software.
-Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
-Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to resolve complex system issues.
-Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with different project stakeholders.
-Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and standards related to MEP systems.
Preferred:
-Certifications in MEP design and installation.
-Experience with green building systems and sustainable MEP solutions.
-Project management experience and ability to manage contractors and technical teams.
