Job Title: Civil Project Engineer
Experience Required: Minimum 5 years (Contracting Company Experience Preferred)

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Civil Project Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in contracting companies, to manage and oversee civil construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the successful execution of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage all phases of construction projects, from initial planning through execution and completion.

Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other engineers to ensure smooth project execution.

Review and interpret project drawings, technical specifications, and contracts to guide construction work.

Conduct site inspections regularly to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to project schedules.

Resolve construction issues and technical challenges promptly, ensuring the project stays on track.

Ensure compliance with all local and international building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

Manage project resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize efficiency and minimize delays.

Prepare regular reports on project status, cost estimates, timelines, and progress to stakeholders.

Work closely with procurement and project teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.

Review and revise project designs and plans as necessary to accommodate changes in scope or site conditions.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience working in civil engineering projects, preferably with a contracting company.

Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and standards, particularly in contracting environments.

Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) and design tools (AutoCAD, Civil 3D).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members, contractors, and clients.

Problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to resolving project challenges.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple projects efficiently.

Preferred:

Experience in handling contracting projects such as residential, commercial, and infrastructure developments.

Knowledge of contract management and tendering processes.

Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or relevant engineering licenses are a plus.
